Duties

  • Content creation.

    • Working with internal and external stakeholders to develop content with the goal of increasing brand relevance, LTR and NPS.

    • Creating social assets in house by utilizing a variety of programs such as Abobe Photoshop, Adobe Premiere Rush and Canva.

    • Working with external agency partners to create social assets using learnings from previous post performance.

  • Content publishing.

    • Scheduling and publishing social posts using Sprinklr.

    • Managing Instagram “link in bio” via Sprinklr.

    • Organically geo-targeting posts.

  • Content planning.

    • Collaborating cross functionally to plan content which considers all aspects of the business and aligns with the social media team’s content strategy.

    • Leading monthly content planning meetings with key social stakeholders across the organization.

    • Managing shared content calendar via AirTable. Working cross functionally to help other teams to manage their respective AirTable calendars.

      • Created an AirTable workspace that allows each team to have their individual calendars - but also includes a separate “merged calendar” which syncs information from each separate calendar to a singular space. This merged calendar offered increased visibility and collaboration across the communications department.

  • Creative direction.

    • Providing shot lists to photographers and videographers.

    • Articulating desired creative execution to designers, animators, and illustrators.

    • Handling on-site video/photo capture for real-time content posting.

      • Handling social coverage/posting for in-person events such as ComplexCon, New York Fashion Week, and various ceremonies.

  • Project management.

    • Story telling through the lens of small business customers. Collaborating with individual customers to craft narratives, obtain photo and video assets, and ensure all legally required releases are signed.

    • Utilizing project trackers to ensure all pieces of each project are completed timely and accurately. Communicating project status to internal stakeholders.

  • Archiving and backtagging content.

    • Archiving all published posts via Airtable.

    • Backtagging all published content via Sprinklr.

  • Managing the enterprise YouTube channel.

    • Completing YouTube video upload requests across the entire organization.

    • Logging all current and past videos.

    • Tracking video rights expirations.

  • Researching and presenting monthly social media news and trends to global partners and stakeholders.

  • Finding, storing and publishing user generated content.

  • Finding and participating in rapid response opportunities.

  • Community management.

    • Utilizing customizable Sprinklr dashboards to alert of UPS related conversations.

    • Utilizing Sprinklr listening tools to alert of any potential PR crises.

    • Engaging with tagged posts and user comments.

Accomplishments

  • Created an intern program for the communications department.

    • Created and scheduled ~10 learning sessions covering various topics relevant for emerging professionals and individuals who are new to the world of communications.

    • Lead 1 on 1 sessions with each intern to better mentor them and guide them on their journey.

    • Conducted the first iteration of intern “final presentations.”

    • Created a program plan with was shared with our communications partners at the University of Georgia which was used to structure their own intern program.

  • Successfully launched the brand’s presence on TikTok. Through community management, the channel gained over 80k followers before posting a single video.

  • Created an AirTable calendar for the social team - and subsequently for the entire communications department.

    • In order to increase visibility and collaboration among the various departments, I created an AirTable workspace with individual calendars for each department. I also created a “merged calendar” which syncs data from each calendar to 1 combined calendar.

    • This calendar is now used to communicate department priorities.

  • Lead the effort for the brand’s YouTube channel refresh.

    • Over the course of 6 months, I removed over 1k outdated videos from the channel. Logging expired content, streamlining channel playlists, and creating a new process for video upload requests.

  • Capitalized on a rapid response social moment via Twitter resulting in the top performing piece of content since my tenure at the company.

  • Championed for a 9/11 remembrance post against the recommendation of our external agency. The post was met with great reception and become the post with the highest % of positive sentiment in 2021.
